They are used by holding the stone between the index finger and thumb and gently moving one’s thumb back and forth across the stone. This action of moving one’s thumb back and forth across the stone can reduce stress. These stones are oval to rectangular and measure approximately 1 - 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 - 2 inches in size (2.54 - 3.81 cm by 3.81 - 5.08 cm).
